More genetically modified ingredients could soon be heading for our supermarket shelves.

Multi-national biotech company Monsanto has applied for new varieties of GM soy bean and corn to be imported into Australia.

The national food regulator, Food Standards Australia New Zealand, will spend up to a year reviewing the applications, and asking the community for feedback.
